Measures of social distancing to reduce COVID-19 illness

Description:

Several different types of data have been used to assess how much social distancing has been happening in different geographic areas. Each data source has significant limitations and none offers an accurate view of the behavior of the population as a whole. Each data source should be interpreted in context. For example, smartphone geodata is representative only of the subset of people who own smartphones and keep location services turned on at all times.
